Horus is the falcon-headed god of the sky, whose eyes are the sun and moon. He is the divine prototype of all pharaohs, and every Egyptian king was considered a living manifestation of Horus on earth.
Son of Isis and Osiris, Horus was raised in secret to one day avenge his father's murder by Set. After a series of fierce battles that lasted eighty years, Horus defeated Set and claimed the throne of Egypt, unifying the Two Lands under his divine rule.
The Eye of Horus, lost and restored during his battles with Set, became one of the most powerful symbols in Egyptian magic—representing healing, protection, and the restoration of what was broken. Horus embodies rightful kingship, filial piety, and the triumph of order.

During their battles, Set tore out Horus's left eye and Horus castrated Set. The god Thoth restored Horus's eye, which became the wedjat—the Eye of Horus—symbol of healing and wholeness. The gods judged in Horus's favor, granting him the throne of Egypt.
