About

Hanuman is the mighty monkey god, son of the wind god Vayu, known for his extraordinary strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to Lord Rama. He is the ideal devotee, the perfect servant, and the model of selfless dedication.

His devotion to Rama is so complete that when asked what day it is, Hanuman answers "Rama's day." When his chest was torn open, Rama's image was found within his heart. His strength is limitless when acting in Rama's service—he once lifted an entire mountain to bring a healing herb.

Hanuman is worshipped for strength, courage, protection from evil, and the blessing of devotion. He is immortal (chiranjivi) and said to be present wherever Rama's story is told, listening with tears of devotion.

Famous Story

When Rama's brother Lakshmana lay dying, Hanuman flew to the Himalayas for healing herbs. Unable to identify the right plant, he lifted the entire mountain and brought it to the battlefield, saving Lakshmana's life through his devotion and strength.
