About

Zhuge Liang is revered as the greatest strategist in Chinese history, whose brilliance shaped the Three Kingdoms period. Known as the Sleeping Dragon before his fame, he served Liu Bei with absolute devotion and created strategies that seemed almost supernatural in their foresight.

His inventions included the repeating crossbow and the wooden ox transport. His masterpiece, the Longzhong Plan, outlined how to restore the Han dynasty. Even his death was strategic—his corpse was displayed to frighten away the pursuing enemy.

Zhuge Liang represents the power of intellect over force, the duty of the advisor to serve the righteous ruler, and the principle that wisdom can shape destiny.

Famous Story

At the Battle of Red Cliffs, Zhuge Liang 'borrowed' 100,000 arrows from the enemy by sending straw boats into the fog. When Sun Quan's forces fired upon what they thought were invaders, Zhuge Liang collected their arrows and returned with exactly what he promised.
