About

Paul was Christianity's greatest missionary, transformed from Saul the persecutor to Paul the apostle by an encounter with the risen Christ on the road to Damascus. He traveled thousands of miles establishing churches and wrote much of the New Testament.

His letters to churches in Rome, Corinth, Galatia, and elsewhere form the theological foundation of Christian faith. He suffered shipwrecks, beatings, imprisonment, and eventually martyrdom—yet counted it all as nothing compared to knowing Christ.

Paul represents radical transformation—that the greatest enemies can become the greatest advocates, that God's grace is sufficient for any weakness, and that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.

Famous Story

Saul was breathing murderous threats against Christians when a blinding light struck him down. 'Saul, why do you persecute me?' Jesus asked. Three days blind, Saul was transformed. He emerged as Paul, who would carry the gospel to the ends of the earth.
